Let’s be honest – kitchens are one of those spaces where decor easily gets out of hand.
Cute jars, little signs, random accessories… it looks good for a moment, but in real life? It collects dust, gets greasy, and suddenly your kitchen feels more cluttered than styled.
So instead of adding more, we looked at what actually makes a difference. The pieces that are both useful and beautiful – the ones that earn their place.

First Things First: Your Kitchen Rug
A good kitchen rug* changes everything. It gives your kitchen a clear direction style-wise. Especially in neutral kitchens, this is often what’s missing.
Best choice: something washable. Because… it’s a kitchen.

A Proper Oil Bottle (That You Actually Use)
Instead of keeping store bottles, transfer your oil into a proper glass bottle. It looks cleaner and is easier to use while cooking. (AND you can buy oil in bulk and just fill your bottle)
Important note: go for a darker bottle*, or one made for oil – it protects the quality better.
And if you want to take it one step further, place it on a small tray*. It keeps things clean and makes it look intentional.

A Sink Station That Looks Good
The area around your sink is used all the time – which is exactly why it shouldn’t look chaotic.
Instead of random sponges and bottles, create a small station. A simple basket* or container for your brush and sponge, paired with a refillable dish soap bottle*.
It keeps everything contained, easy to access, and visually much calmer.
(And yes, this alone makes your kitchen feel more “put together”.)

Beautiful Kitchen Towels (You’ll Use Them Anyway)
If there’s one thing you use daily, it might as well look good.
Kitchen towels are often overlooked, but they can subtly define the style of your kitchen. Linen, soft cotton, simple patterns – they add texture without creating clutter.
And because you actually use them, they never feel like unnecessary decor.
(Low effort, high impact. We love that.)

A Kitchen Doesn’t Need Decoration
Kitchen decoration is about choosing pieces that are already part of your daily routine and making them look good. Everything else is a choice but definitely not for everyone.
